This book is a short RomCom about a girl who gets catfished by the worst person.
This was SUCH a fun read. Rebekka makes choices that had me like, “Girl… respectfully… what are we doing?” And then when she finally starts coming clean?? The tension. The awkwardness. The slow unraveling. I was locked in.
Ian being upset but not full-blown furious actually made it sweeter, the tiptoeing around each other, the emotional tension, the quiet processing instead of dramatic explosions. It felt real and soft and messy in a good way.
Did I know how it was going to resolve? Absolutely not. I was sitting there like, “Okay but HOW are we fixing this?”
And then the ending??
Excuse me.
Did not see that coming.
Romcom gone wrong but somehow still swoony.
